A joint venture for success, through know how and market experience
The company is a joint venture between Beijing New YanSha Holding (Group) and Kempinski Hotels S.A. of Europe. Having cooperated for 10 years at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center, Chairman Liu Ya Zhou and Mr Reto Wittwer, President & CEO of Kempinski Hotels S.A., decided to join forces for the Chinese hotel market in 2000. The cooperation agreement was signed on November 16 2000 and the company was registered on June 5 2001. The purpose of the company is to bring professional hotel management to the Chinese tourism industry by promoting and operating 5-star Kempinski hotels in China.
The plan of Key International Hotels Management is to establish Kempinski hotels in every premier location within China.

Mr. Rene Schmitt, Managing Director & President Kempinski S.A. - China
Managing Director, Mr Rene Schmitt, representing Kempinski, has joint responsibilities as he also holds the position of President, Kempinski Hotels S.A.-China. Previously he was Managing Director of the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center from 2000 to 2005 and has managed other hotels in Jakarta, Indonesia and Miami, USA. Beforehand he was over 20 years with ITT Sheraton Hotels in corporate, regional and operational positions.
Mr. Wang Xin, Deputy Managing Director
Mr Wang Xin, Deputy Managing Director, started his hotel career in 1979 and studied hotel management in Germany for 3 years. Then he joined Beijing Tourist Bureau in the Hotel Management Department. Before joining the company he was the Deputy Executive Assistant Manager for Kempinski Hotel Beijing.
